Parades, 5K’s, concerts, fireworks and more! Here are a few events we thought we would share and we hope you will share them as well! Denton – July 4th

Take “#dentoning” to a whole new level! Start your day bright and early at the Liberty 5K or 1-Mile walk! After the 5K you can find a spot on the square in Downtown Denton to cool down and watch the Yankee Doodle Parade go by. Be sure to bring your dancin’ boots for the annual 4th of July Morning Western Swing Dance Party hosted by Dan’s Silverleaf. The Family Fun Jubilee at Quakertown Park and the Denton Civic Center offer fun for all ages including the Adult Lucky Horseshoe Tournament, FREE Kids Carnival, Hot Dog Eating Competition, Senior Center Luncheon, and $1 admission per person at the Civic Center Pool from noon to 6 p.m. Wrap it all up with a bang at Apogee Stadium to watch the Denton Kiwanis Club 45th Annual July 4th Fireworks Show! Always an amazing fireworks display and all for a good cause supporting youth services! Parking is $10 per carload but entry into Apogee stadium is FREE. There will be bands and a children’s activity area. No outside beverages allowed; however, there will be a variety of concessions available for purchase! Lewisville – July 4th

Lots of FREE fun for everyone once again on the plaza at the Castle Hills Village Shops and the Castle Hills July 4th Freedom Festival! Tons of activities and attractions like carnival games, bounce houses, face painters, balloon artists, a giant water slide and a DJ! Popular food trucks from the area will be offering concessions for purchase. Spots along the lake for viewing fireworks do fill up early so be sure to bring a blanket and chairs to mark yours! McKinney – July 4th

It doesn’t get more hometown than McKinney, TX and especially so on July 4th! The Red, White and Boom Concert and Fireworks festivities kick-off in historic downtown McKinney at 10 a.m. Other activities include the Yankee Doodle block party, a car, truck and cycle show. Evening attractions move to the Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch for food, children’s activities, concert and a fireworks display.

Plano – July 4th

Nothing plain about Plano! You can’t help but feel patriotic as you watch the Plano Lions Independence Day Parade go by! The parade starts at 9 a.m. at the Plano ISD Administration Building and ends in the parking lot of Plano Senior High. To View Parade Route, Click Here. When evening rolls around, bring your blankets and chairs to the Amphitheater at Oak Point Park for Plano’s All American Fourth Fireworks! Arrive early to find a spot for viewing the show! Richardson – July 4th

Rich in patriotism and tradition is the community of Richardson! Grab friends and family, pack a picnic, lawn chairs or blanket and head out to Richardson’s annual Family Fourth Celebration at Breckinridge Park. Attractions and activities include bounce houses, a rock climbing wall, concessions for purchase, live music, a safety event and of course a star spangled fireworks display to wrap it all up!
