About Pilot Point

A close neighbor to Aubrey, Pilot Point is also situated on that highly sought after sandy soil that is perfect for working and training horses. Centrally located between the historic Shawnee Trail and the Chisholm trail, it was named Pilot Point because of its location in a heavily wooded area on the highest point of ground between Texarkana & Fort Worth. The trees served as a landmark for cattle drives crossing the area trails and could easily be seen "Pointing the Way".
